When life gets too busy we all need to make sacrifices to get everything done. Unfortunately people often have to less time to participate in their local Church congregations and religious holidays. Reverend Paula Miller of St. Michael and All Saints Episcopal Church in Lincoln Park, Michigan took matters into her own hands this past Wednesday. She started her own Drive-Thru Ash Wednesday Service!
“Not everyone is able to attend our 7 p.m. Mass with distribution of ashes because of work, family obligations, or busy lives. This alternative provides a way to reconnect with God and to join others in a journey of the disciplines of lent. It’s like a spring cleaning for the soul.”
Rev. Paula Miller
It's people like this, with devotion to helping others and understanding that have truly made our families religious journey worth having. You see so many wonderful actions within a community being done by those who care. Their impact is certainly appreciated amongst the communities that they serve as well as other onlookers, looking for a source of inspiration and a new found faith in humanity. Reverend Paula Miler's ingenuity to bring faith to the people is truly inspiring.
